DAY 1 ARRIVE TO ISTANBUL – ANKARA
Flight to Istanbul. After landing, we board a bus that takes us to Ankara (about 6 hours). Drive across the Bosphorus Bridge, the towns of Kocaeli, Sakarya, Düzce and Bolu. Late afternoon arrival in Ankara. Dinner and overnight Ankara.
DAY 2 ANKARA - CAPPADOCIA
After breakfast visit the old fortress and the museum of Anatolian civilizations. Continue driving towards Cappadocia. On the way visit the salt lake ‘Tuz Gölü’. Arrival in Cappadocia. Dinner and overnight in Cappadocia ..
DAY 3 CAPPADOCIA
After breakfast departure for a full day tour of Cappadocia. Uçhisar, Göreme Open Air Museum, Zelve, Paşabağları, Ürgüp, Avanos. Dinner, overnight in Cappadocia
DAY 4 CAPPADOCIA - KONYA
Breakfast. On the way to Konya we visit the underground city of Derinkuyu and karavansaray Sultanhanı.
Upon arrival in Konya, we visit the Mevlana Museum and the Aladdin Mosque. Dinner, overnight Konya
DAY 5 KONYA – PAMUKKALE
After breakfast check out from Konya and drive to Pamukkala (“Cotton Fortress”), a beautiful plateau in the color of white cotton created by sediments of calcium-rich water. Following is a tour of one of the most famous ancient sites in Turkey - Hierapolis, where the remains of the church and the tomb of the Apostle St. Philip, an amphitheater, a cemetery with sarcophagi, and a tour of Pamukkala itself, the “Red Waterfalls,” where warm, healing water springs. Depending on the weather, swimming in the thermal pools is also planned. Check-in at the hotel, dinner and overnight Pamukkale
DAY 6 PAMUKKALE - EPHESUS – BERGAMA
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, continue the tour to Ephesus, which stops at the house of the Virgin Mary. Upon arrival, visit Ephesus - the ancient metropolis, the remains of the Bolshoi Theater, the Odeon, the library, the Roman bath, the agora and the remains of one of the seven wonders of antiquity - the Temple of Artemis and the Basilica of the Apostle St. John and the Hill of Ascension. Continuation of the route to Pergama. Dinner and overnight Bergama
DAY 7 BERGAMA – BURSA
After breakfast, we will visit the former Pergamon, an ancient Asia Minor metropolis that housed one of the seven churches mentioned in the Bible. A tour of the parchment acropolis, which once housed a library with more than 200,000 parchments, the altar of Zeus. A visit to Asklepion, the famous spa center from Roman times. Drive to Bursa.
Visit to the Grand Mosque (Ulu Cami) and the large silk center Koza Han. dinner and overnight Bursa
DAY 8 BURSA – ISTANBUL
Drive to Istanbul, arrival in Istanbul around 11.00. Sightseeing of Hagia Sophia, Topkapı Palace. Overnight in Istanbul
